Book Review: AB4T

We've had the opportunity to work through a new book by Bodie Hodge -- AB4T, aka Answers Book for Teens.  A fairly skinny paperback (just under 100 pages), this is intended for teens, ages 13-17.  Connor, my 14 year old, was pretty excited as he has enjoyed similar titles in the past.

The book is done with a "spray paint" feel to the graphics, and lots of different fonts.  I found all the font changes really distracting, but I'm more than a couple of decades outside of the target age range here.  Connor didn't mind the font changes, but the graphics bothered him.  You can get a bit of the "spray paint" flavor from the cover.  Or get a bit of an idea from this not so great photo from one of the pages...

The "answers" are to a series of 15 questions, including questions on sex and on homosexuality... just so you are aware.  The discussion may be perfectly okay for you and your teen, but I know I like at least skimming that kind of content before my kids do.

Connor thought this book was far too basic for him, but he acknowledged that he has probably read more books and watched more lectures on apologetics, worldviews, etc. than most teens he knows.

He feels it covers a good range of topics -- why is there pain and suffering?  Old earth vs. young earth.  The flood.  Dinosaurs and dragons.  How could only two people populate the entire earth?

He said this was a book that he could see handing to some of his friends...

And this is listed as being Volume 1.  I'm sure he will want to check out Volume 2
